You can choose from 16 different press types, which can be used to produce pellets with a diameter ranging from 2 to 40 millimetres. As an expert in process engineering for the compound feed industry, the company has developed the expander technology, one of the most comprehensive conditioning processes for compound feed and individual components. With the KAHL Expander, high feed quality and improved feed conversion can be reached. This results from rapid pressure build-up in the mixing tube for a duration of approx. five seconds at a temperature of between 90 and 140 °C. At the outlet the pressure drops immediately, the product expands and water evaporates. This special process produces a homogeneous feed that is free of germs and salmonella. The size of the obtained product can be determined using downstream crushing machines. Our product range includes various versions of the KAHL expander with different pipe lengths, diameters and capacities.
