Amandus Kahl GmbH & Co. KG has appointed Sebastian Mertens as its new Managing Director. Mr Mertens complements the management team of Amandus Kahl and will in future work together with Mr Joachim Behrmann, Mr Uwe Wehrmann and Dr Victoria Behrmann on the board of directors.

Sebastian Mertens is a familiar face at Amandus Kahl. Born in Hamburg, the 37-year-old joined the company in 2006 when he enrolled in the dual engineering and management programme at the Nordakademie. Immediately after graduating, Sebastian Mertens started at Amandus Kahl in the technical customer service department until he became assistant to the management in 2013. In 2015, he completed a part-time MBA with the thesis "Development of approaches to reduce Amandus Kahl's inventories".
In 2016, he moved to the Project Management department, which he took over two years later. His scope of duties and responsibilities subsequently expanded, and he became Deputy Managing Director of Technology. With immediate effect, Sebastian Mertens takes over as new Managing Director of Technology from Uwe Wehrmann.
